Dal 19 novembre al 1 dicembre, una videoinstallazione di Hans Op de Beeck, occupera’ l’antico Cine Art Palácio, il primo grande cinema di “Cinelândia”, così chiamata l’area di São Paulo che negli anni ’30 era piena di cinema. Questo evento anticipa lo Screen Festival São Paulo – che ci sarà nel novembre del 2014 – e la principale attrazione sarà il lavoro dell’artista belga Hans Op de Beeck. L’artista presenterà Staging Silence 2, una proiezione di 22 minuti che interagisce con la storia dell’Art Palácio, con la trasformazione di São Paulo e la sua identità di megalopoli.

From November 19th til December 1st, a video installation by Hans Op de Beeck occupies the old Cine Art Palácio, the first big cinema of “Cinelândia”, the so-called part of São Paulo inner city full of cinemas in the thirties. This event anticipates Screen Festival São Paulo – which will be launched in November 2014 in São Paulo – and its main attraction will be the work of the Belgian artist Hans Op de Beeck. He will present Staging Silence 2, a projection of 22 minutes that interacts with Art Palácio history, with the transformation of São Paulo inner city and the reality of the megalopolis itself.
