Fino al 16 ottobre 2012 il Museion – Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bolzano lascia ‘rivivere’ installazioni, performance e molti video della collezione Museion in La collezione attiva, una mostra a cura di Letizia Ragaglia e Frida Carazzato. Il titolo della mostra si riferisce all’atto di riattivazione dei video e delle installazioni spente e riposte nei depositi del museo, in occasione della loro presentazione, da parte dello spettatore stesso.

Il filo conduttore è l’attivazione del suono, medium utilizzato da molti artisti – da Kruger & Pardeller ad Allora & Calzadilla – e del movimento, rappresentato sia da installazioni performative che dall’immagine in movimento di molti video. In mostra, una selezione di opere di recente acquisizione dalla collezione Museion, la maggior parte presentate per la prima volta. Tra queste, l’installazione di Vito Acconci Candy Bar From GI Joe, e From Here to There di Jana Sterbak, Particle Projection (Loop) di Simon Starling e il video di Francesco Jodice Dubai_Citytellers. All’esterno la superficie della casa atelier ospita un’opera di Mario Airò e la facciata mediale del museo, un progetto di Michael Fliri.

Until October 16, 2012, Museion – Museum of modern and contemporary art of Bolzano – present installations, performances and videos of the museum’s collection in The Collection in Action, an exhibition curated by Letizia Ragaglia and Frida Carazzato. The title of the exhibition refers to the reactivation by the viewers of the installations preserved in the museum’s storage. The main themes are sound and movement activation. The first is the medium most used by the participant artists, from Kruger & Pardeller to Allora & Calzadilla, and the second one is represented in the form of performative installations and motion pictures. On show a selection of art works recently acquired by Museion, most of them are showed for the first time.

Among the featured artists there are: Vito Acconci, Jana Sterbak, Simon Starling and Francesco Jodice. Also the outside of Museion is involved: the atelier surface hosts a Mario Airò‘s work and on the lateral façade is projected a video created by Michael Fliri.
