Qual è il suo processo di creazione? Parte da un’immagine o da un’idea? O da altro?
L’immagine o l’idea emergono in corso d’opera. È attraverso il processo creativo che si svela chi sono o che cosa è il mondo. Prima viene il fare poi le idee, non è mai il contrario.
L’interdisciplinarietà è un elemento fondamentale dei suoi video? Se sì, in che modo e quali sono le discipline a cui fa riferimento?
In un certo senso, intendo tutto il mio lavoro, dai film al teatro, dalle incisioni alle sculture, come un’estensione del disegno.
Ci sono artisti, videomaker o registi del passato che l’hanno influenzata o suoi contemporanei che sente vicino alla sua ricerca?
Dziga Vertov, Goya, Rembrandt, Daumier, Manet, Velasquez, Philip Guston.
Cosa ha determinato la sua scelta di lavorare, tra gli altri, anche con il mezzo video?
La provvisorietà del mezzo. Le possibilità di lavorare sulla narrazione e la trasformazione.

1. Which is your creation process? Do you start from an image or an idea? Or from something else?
It is a process of finding the image or idea through making the work, discovering who I am or what the world is through the process of making work. The making comes first, ideas after, never the other way round.
2. Is the multi-disciplinary approach an essential element in your video? If yes, what are the artistic disciplines that you refer to?
I think of all my work, whether film, theatre, printmaking, sculpture as in some sense expanded drawing.
3. Which artists, videomakers, film directors of the past, have influenced your research and which is the contemporary ones that you feel closer to you?
Dziga Vertov, Goya, Rembrandt, Daumier, Manet, Velázquez, Philip Guston.
6. Why, between others languages, did you choose to use also the video?
Provisionality of the medium. The possibilities for narrative and transformation.
