Dal 25 gennaio al 14 aprile al De Vleeshal & De Kabinetten van De Vleeshal at Middelburg (Olanda), sarà presentata la mostra dal titolo The Moon has a Complicated Geography, a cura di Lorenzo Benedetti, la seconda esposizione della trilogia che esplora la scena artistica olandese degli ultimi anni attraverso artisti di diffferenti generazioni che utilizzano una varietà di media, come la performance e il video. Il titolo della mostra, che è stato mutuato dal poeta beat Diane Wakoski, viene inteso come una metafora per l’investigazione artstica degli sviluppi del contemporaneo e della ricchezza e della complessità del momento presente. La mostra guarda al ruolo centrale della prospettiva storica nell’esaminare i cambiamenti che hanno luogo nella società contemporanea. Artisti in mostra: Lonnie van Brummelen en Siebren de Haan, Arnoud Holleman, Hedwig Houben, Gert Jan Kocken, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Willem Oorebeek en Vincent Vulsma.

From 25 Januay to 14 April at De Vleeshal & De Kabinetten van De Vleeshal, Middelburg (NL) will be presented The Moon has a Complicated Geography curated by Lorenzo Benedetti,  the second in a trilogy of exhibitions exploring the Dutch art scene over the past few years, through artists from different generations who use a variety of media, as performance and video. The title of the show is from a poem by the beat poet Diane Wakoski, is intended as a metaphor for artistic investigation of contemporary developments and the complexity and richness of the present momen. The exhibition looks at the central role of historical perspective in examining the changes taking place in contemporary society. Artists: Lonnie van Brummelen en Siebren de Haan, Arnoud Holleman, Hedwig Houben, Gert Jan Kocken, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Willem Oorebeek en Vincent Vulsma.
