2014, CYBERFEST «The Other Home» VIDEO PROGRAM presents works of artists who call countries around the world (Italy, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Lithuania, Chile, Austria, Denmark, Philippines, Greece, France, Germany…) Curated by: Victoria Ilyushkina.
Ranging in length from 1 minute to 13 minutes in length, this screening brings together short video artworks that quantify the notion that physical location, environment and structure of one’s house is less definitive in today’s world of virtuality.

CYBERFEST’s annual screening is a part of CYLAND’s larger VIDEO ART PROGRAM.
Since its founding in 2007, CYLAND has grown, organized and maintained a Video Archive collection of over 400 video works by 100 artists and 20 art groups from Russia. Works selected from 30 international artists of Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, USA and Austria round out the present, growing collection. The works exemplify the diversity of the medium and includes video art, experimental films, computer graphics, 3D animation, stop motion animation, live footage, poetry videos and documentation of installations, performances or workshops. Programming and exhibitions of works in the archive have screened widely including in Great Britain, France, Brazil, Turkey, America, Germany; throughout Eastern Europe. Developed, engineered, organized and maintained by CYLAND, the online digital video library serves as an unprecedented and unparalleled platform for connecting artists with the public at large. Uploaded by artists for free, videos are viewed for free in browsers. About 150 video works from artists are currently available for online viewing.

Il 12 aprile, al  BABYLON, Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlino, si terrà Videoart at Midnight #44: Annika Eriksson. La presentazione è l’ultimo capitolo della serie ARTISTIC DIALOGUES e comprende una trilogia di video, incluso il nuovo lavoro di Eriksson dal titolo “It did happen soon” (2012), il recente video “Wir sind wieder da” (2010) and “Wir Bleiben/The Last Tenants” (2011). I lavori sono realizzati come un dialogo aperto con il tempo della transizione, qui esplorato attraverso sia momenti di resistenza che di disobbedienza, che come tempi della passività. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On 12 April at BABYLON, Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin, Videoart at Midnight #44: Annika Eriksson. The presentation is the latest chapter in the ongoing series ARTISTIC DIALOGUES and comprises a trilogy of videos, including Eriksson’s new work, “It did happen soon” (2012) alongside the recent video works “Wir sind wieder da” (2010) and “Wir Bleiben/The Last Tenants” (2011). The works are realized as an ongoing dialogue with times of transition, here explored both through moments of resistance and disobedience as well as times of passivity. In the realizations of these three works, Eriksson has used Berlin, where she lives and works, as a starting point and as a place where science fiction as a time warping device can be put to work.

Videoart midnight

Sarà possibile inviare i propri video al Viral Video Award di Berlino fino all’11 settembre 2011. La manifestazione, giunta alla sua quarta edizione, fa parte del 27° International Short Film Festival di Berlino ed è stata organizzata, sostenuta e ospitata da: interfilm Berlin, Zucker.Kommunikation e dalla Heinrich Boell Foundation.

La cerimonia di premiazione avrà luogo il 19 novembre 2011, durante l’International Short Film Festival (15 – 20 novembre 2011). I video inviati (non più vecchi di due anni e della durata inferiore ai 10′) devono comunicare un messaggio e naturalmente devono essere concepiti per essere pubblicati su internet, aspirando quindi ad una distribuzione “virale”. La votazione online si terrà dal 18 ottobre al 18 novembre 2011 sul sito www.viralvideoaward.com. Uno dei premi assegnati dalla Heinrich Boell Foundation, ha un tema socio-politico, infatti saranno scelti i video che rifletteranno criticamente su: clima, giustizia e democrazia.
