Su iniziativa dell’Associazione Culturale FestArte e con il contributo della Regione Lazio, Assessorato Cultura e Pol. Giovanili, da venerdì 18 a lunedì 21 dicembre a Roma, presso ON ART di architettura fatta in casa partner dell’evento, prende il via FestArte Videoart Festival – International contest – Donna Uguale e Diversa.  

IN MOSTRA 21 OPERE VIDEO – IN LOOP – DAL TRADIZIONALE ALLO SPERIMENTALE: videoart, Corti e Docu, per mirare all’avvicinamento del mezzo e della tematica, all’arte e alla cultura.
Selezionati da : Anna Maria Angelucci Direttore ON-ART, Artista; Lorena Benatti Dir.Artistico FestArte; Giorgio Montanari Storico dell’arte; Caterina Tomeo Professor of Art & New Media, co-Director of Spring Attitude festival; Anna Allegretti, Architetto, Presidente Ass. Architettura fatta in casa; Francesca Checchi artista.
Un tema promosso al fine di proporre uno sviluppo nei rapporti, fondata sull’uguaglianza tra uomini e donne e sulla diversità come ricchezza. Visioni per favorire rimandi, suggestioni, riflessioni. Una molteplicità di mezzi video, per promuovere l’avanguardia verso la costituzione ‘arte-cinema’ e la democratizzazione del rapporto tra artisti, curatori, istituzioni e pubblico. 

Le opere convergeranno nel Premio del pubblico, che sarà invitato ad esprimere il proprio miglior video.

2014, CYBERFEST «The Other Home» VIDEO PROGRAM presents works of artists who call countries around the world (Italy, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Lithuania, Chile, Austria, Denmark, Philippines, Greece, France, Germany…) Curated by: Victoria Ilyushkina.
Ranging in length from 1 minute to 13 minutes in length, this screening brings together short video artworks that quantify the notion that physical location, environment and structure of one’s house is less definitive in today’s world of virtuality.

CYBERFEST’s annual screening is a part of CYLAND’s larger VIDEO ART PROGRAM.
Since its founding in 2007, CYLAND has grown, organized and maintained a Video Archive collection of over 400 video works by 100 artists and 20 art groups from Russia. Works selected from 30 international artists of Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, USA and Austria round out the present, growing collection. The works exemplify the diversity of the medium and includes video art, experimental films, computer graphics, 3D animation, stop motion animation, live footage, poetry videos and documentation of installations, performances or workshops. Programming and exhibitions of works in the archive have screened widely including in Great Britain, France, Brazil, Turkey, America, Germany; throughout Eastern Europe. Developed, engineered, organized and maintained by CYLAND, the online digital video library serves as an unprecedented and unparalleled platform for connecting artists with the public at large. Uploaded by artists for free, videos are viewed for free in browsers. About 150 video works from artists are currently available for online viewing.

Because of the current events taking place in Ukraine and Georgia a group of artists around the globe found it essential to form a project entitled “Art for freedom.”  As we all know, there is a war going on between the free world and the totalitarian regime of Kremlin. We cannot fight this war with weapons, but what we can do is show our support for the people who are fighting for their freedom though our art.  Art is our powerful weapon, much more powerful than any other created to kill people. Art helps to form the inner world of humans, which later on shows in our actions.

Dal 4 al 7 ottobre Visualcontainer sarà come partner a Fotofever di  Bruxelles, la prima fiera europea di fotografia, per presentare un programma di screening articolato in due parti con differenti opere video e artisti, che rappresentano una selezione dei giovani talenti emergenti italiani, che si sono già fatti conoscere anche a livello internazionale. Nel programma lavori che vanno dalla performance all’animazione. Gli artisti selezionati sono: Slawomir Milewski, Pascal Caparros, Daniela Di Maro DDM, Antonella Spatti, Romeo Grünfelder, Chiara Mazzocchi, Iginio de Luca, Barbara Brugola, Francesco Arena, Enrico Bressan, Cristobal Catalan, LIUBA, Marzia Moretti, Luca Christian Mander, Maria Korporal, Mauro Folci, Patrizia Bonardi.

Dal 10 al 20 maggio 2012, a Rennes in Francia, l’associazione Oeil d’Oodaaq presenta la seconda edizione del Festival Oodaaq d’Images Poétiques, che si sviluppa con 5 mostre e 4 vetrine video, più due tavole rotonde. Tra le video vetrine, il 19 maggio alle ore 21 vi sarà un Italian videoart screening a cura di Visualcontainer che presenterà gli artisti: Albert Merino, Alessandra Arnò, Barbara Brugola, Cristobal Catalan, Iginio De Luca, Global Groove, Maria Korporal, Matteo Pasin, Lino Strangis, Luca Christian Mander, Christian Niccoli, Mauro Folci. Dopo il festival verrà pubblicato un DVD  con una selezione di dieci video che sarà donato a numerosi festival dedicati alla video-arte in Europa e nel mondo.
